Adam Lowry is a professional ice hockey player and the captain of the Winnipeg Jets in the National Hockey League (NHL).

Recently, during a game between the Winnipeg Jets and the Ottawa Senators, he made a headline for his intense on-ice altercation with Tyler Kleven.

The incident occurred after Kleven hit on Lowry’s teammate, Mason Appleton.

In response, Lowry engaged Kleven in a fight, throwing several haymakers.

Adam Lowry was born on March 29, 1993, to parents Dave Lowry and Elaine Lowry.

His father, Dave Lowry, was born on February 14, 1965, and is a former NHL player and coach.

He notably played for several teams such as Vancouver Canucks, St. Louis Blues, Florida Panthers, San Jose Sharks, and Calgary Flames.

Dave earned the nickname “Mr. Playoff” for his performance during the 1996 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

During that time, he scored ten goals and helped the Florida Panthers reach the finals. Likewise, he played over 1,000 NHL games before retiring in 2004.

After retiring as a player, he transitioned into coaching and has held various coaching positions in the NHL and other leagues.

He began his coaching career as an assistant coach with the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League in 2005.

Moreover, he has held various coaching positions in the NHL. It includes assistant coaching roles with the Calgary Flames, Los Angeles Kings, and Winnipeg Jets.

He also served as the interim head coach for the Winnipeg Jets during the 2026-2026 season.

As of 2026, Dave Lowry is an assistant coach with the Seattle Kraken. He continues to bring his extensive experience and knowledge to the team.

Sarah is a former volleyball player who is married to real estate advisor Kyle Lamb. They also have three children: Linden, Lawson, and Lola.

Joel, like Adam, pursued a career in ice hockey. He was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the NHL Draft. However, he chose to attend Cornell University before going professional.

He played in various leagues, including the American Hockey League (AHL).

Tessa, the younger sister, is also an ice hockey player, competing in NCAA Division III women’s hockey.

She played for the College of St. Scholastica from 2016 to 2026. She was known for her strong defensive skills and consistent performance during her time there.

Moreover, she played in all 29 games during her junior year and scored her first collegiate goal against Lake Forest in her freshman year.
