Adrian Kempe, a Swedish professional ice hockey player for the Los Angeles Kings of the NHL, exited the game against the Seattle Kraken in the third period.

The Kings announced that the forward would not return to the contest due to a personal matter. Head coach Jim Hiller said that his absence was for a good reason.

Adrian made his Swedish Hockey League (SHL) debut with Modo Hockey during the 2013–14 season. Later, the Los Angeles Kings selected him in the first round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Despite being drafted, he continued his development in Sweden, returning to Modo for the 2014–15 season before transitioning to the American Hockey League.

He signed an amateur try-out agreement with the Kings’ affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs, and a three-year, entry-level contract with the Kings for the 2015–16 season.

After attending the Los Angeles Kings training camp, he began his 2016-17 season with the Ontario Reign.

On February 15, 2017, Adrian earned his first NHL recall and made his NHL debut the following day against the Arizona Coyotes.

He returned to the Kings lineup for the 2018–19 season and continued his ice hockey journey, .

Adrian Kempe is married to Sian Nickson, a model and influencer from Toronto, Canada.

Sian Nickson, the daughter of Michele House and Steve Nickson, was born on March 18, 1996, in Toronto, Canada. Steve is a licensed dog trainer based in Toronto.

Her parents raised her alongside two siblings. Her brother, Jack Nickson, is a Western University graduate, and her younger sister, Camryn Nickson, pursued nursing at the University of Toronto.

Sian attended Donald A. Wilson Secondary School with her siblings before furthering her education in fashion.

She studied at George Brown College from 2016 to 2018, specializing in the Fashion Business Industry Program.

Her passion for modeling began early, and she signed with Elite Model Management in Toronto in 2010.

Before starting college, she briefly worked as a sales associate at Aritzia, gaining hands-on retail experience.

As her career progressed, she expanded her reach, signing with Meraki Models & Talent in Los Angeles in 2016 and later with Mannequin Studios in Singapore in 2018.
