The sudden passing of 19-year-old Siena Hoffman, a dedicated volleyball player at the University of Alabama, has left her family, friends, and the community in deep mourning.

Del Oro Women’s Basketball announced Siena’s death on Instagram, where they expressed heartfelt condolences,

“The best teammate, coach, mentor, and friend. Siena, you will be missed more than words can express. Your light was contagious and it lives on in everyone you impacted 💛”

Siena was born to Stephanie Forbes Hoffman and Greg Hoffman and was raised with her younger sister, Gia Hoffman.

She attended Del Oro High School, in both basketball as a power forward and volleyball as a right-side hitter from 2026 to 2026.

Before high school, she played for the from 2019 to 2026.

Hoffman Was Serving As A Part-time Volleyball Manager At The University Of Alabama

In 2026, Siena began her studies at The University of Alabama, pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration with an expected graduation in 2027.

In addition to her education, she had been the volleyball manager for the university’s women’s volleyball team since August 2026.

In this role, she managed equipment, coordinated transportation for the team, collaborated with catering companies for meals, and worked closely with sports medicine and nutrition staff.

Siena’s work experience also included a part-time position as a waitress at Hillenbrand Brewery in Rocklin, California, where she assisted in cooking and meal preparation.

Additionally, she served as a team manager for Synergy Force Volleyball Club for over a year and a half, overseeing equipment transportation and managing social media for the team.

Her skills extended beyond volleyball; she was proficient in equipment maintenance, sports management, project management, cooking, money management, customer service, and working with children.

her achievements in athletic training and performance improvement.

She notably advised volleyball coaches on training schedules that improved game attendance by 25%.

Siena Was Known For Her Vibrant Spirit, Filling Every Room With Laughter And Positivity

Siena Hoffman’s death has not been publicly confirmed, though unverified reports suggest she may have been involved in a car crash.

Regardless of the circumstances, her death has been an extreme tragedy for her family, friends, and the community, who valued her vivid spirit and accomplishments.

Her sister Gia shared a touching tribute to her older sister on Instagram and wrote,

“Siena… every day I thank God that he put you on this earth as my sister.  I loved growing up beside you and I know that you touched so many people, I’m going to miss our late night conversations and walking through life with you.
Even though you can’t be here to witness my future accomplishments, I know you’ll be watching over me, smiling with joy every step of the way. I just know that Heaven is welcoming you with open arms! Forever 19.

Gone but never forgotten 🤍”

A close friend reminisced about their years together and wrote,

“Words cannot explain what I am feeling right now. She was my best friend for 7 years and I never got tired of her humor. She was the funniest person I have ever met. I always thought we would rekindle in the future, but now I’m begging for just one more talk with her. My heart is permanently broken and I miss her so much. Rest easy Siena 🤍🕊️”

Additionally, Alabama Theta expressed their condolences, writing,

” Siena is and always will be a beloved member of Delta Omicron at The University of Alabama and is a light to this chapter. Siena was deeply loved by every member, and the chapter mourns the loss of her warmth and comfort through the house. We find comfort in knowing that we share an unbreakable bond with Siena through our Theta sisterhood. Delta Omicron will hold tight to her memory and always have her in our hearts.
Please keep Siena’s family and friends in your prayers, we pray comfort and solace over them.

A celebration of Hoffman’s life is scheduled for Friday, February 28th at 5:30 PM at Bayside Granite Bay located at 8191 Sierra College Blvd., Roseville, California.

This gathering will honor her legacy and a huge impact on those around her.

As the community gathers to honor Siena Hoffman, they remember a young life that shone both on and off the court. Her legacy will definitely live in the hearts of those who knew her.
