Ferreira was born on August 14, 1994, in Aspen, Colorado, U.S., under the star sign of Leo. He is a native at the base of Aspen Highlands and was born to his mother, Colleen Delia, and Father, Marcelo Ferreira. 

Alex’s Father, Marcelo Ferreira, was a professional soccer player from Argentina. Likewise, his mother, Colleen, is a graduate of West Virginia University and used to be a New Jersey state-level relay racer. 

Colleen ran ten full marathon races and competed in the Penn Relays as an athlete. She is the proprietor of The Red Spa in Aspen, Colorado. 

Alex’s parents first met each other in Vail, Colorado, moving back to the flashback. Following it, they clicked and married early and then moved to Aspen, Colorado. Altogether, Alex also has a younger sister, Lourdes Ferreira.

During his high school days, he was also part of The Skier’s team. In 2012, Alex gained his initial award as a youth in a halfpipe competition named the Gatorade Freelow Finals. 

As he bagged the title hosted by Snowbasin Ski Resort, Utah, Alex gained his fair share of attention. This title opened doors for the Dew Tour in December 2013 at Breckenridge Mountain Resort, Colorado. 

Alex has bagged titles in X-Games, Dew Tour, Whistler Ski Invitational, FIS World Cups, and the Olympic Games throughout his career. Talking about his 2018 Olympic Games, he bagged Silver Medal at the Pyeongchang Olympics in Korea.
