The case, which was submitted to the U.S. District Court, claims that when Scoggin disclosed her sexual relationship with assistant head coach Chuck Love, proper action was not taken.

According to the lawsuit, Love pursued Scoggin, forcing her into a sexual connection out of fear of reprisals if she resisted. The court action brings to light the problematic topic of power relations and alleged wrongdoing within collegiate athletics.
