Alyssa Healy is an accomplished cricketer, representing Australia internationally and playing for New South Wales and the Sydney Sixers in the Women’s Big Bash League.

Born on March 24, 1990, in Gold Coast, Queensland, Healy has cricket in her veins; her father, Greg Healy, played for Queensland, and her uncle, Ian Healy, was a celebrated Australian Test wicketkeeper.

Despite her illustrious family background, she was initially indifferent to cricket, only developing an interest after relocating to Sydney.

For her education, she attended MLC School from 2002 to 2005, followed by Barker College from 2006 to 2008. She higher education at the University of Technology Sydney, earning a Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography degree.

Healy’s career took off with her debut for the New South Wales Breakers during the 2007-2008 season.

Known for her aggressive batting and sharp wicket-keeping, she quickly became indispensable to her national and state teams.
