He was known for his time as a left-handed pitcher and outfielder. Hood played at St. Thomas Aquinas High School and later committed to Florida SouthWestern State College.

Hood graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 2019.

After high school, Hood committed to Florida Southwestern State College, where he continued to excel in his baseball career.

Isaiah Hood, a senior at St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida, was pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management at his passing.
