Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty’s parents, Harry and Pamela Jeanty, have handled their son’s rise to fame in a solid manner. Jeanty grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, but a few years ago, Ashton, with his parents, shifted to Italy for three years.

The talented running back couldn’t play two years of football while he was in Italy during his seventh and eighth grades.

But in Ashton’s freshman year, his dad, Harry, decided his son would play tackle football for Naples Wildcats.

In his lone season for the Wildcats, Ashton almost carried the team to the DOEDEA-Europe Division II title.

After returning to the States, Ashton enrolled at Lone Star High School. As a senior, the running back rushed for 1,843 yards with 41 touchdowns.

In 2026, Ashton announced his commitment to Boise State University, and in his first season, he finished with 821 yards and scored seven touchdowns.

Ashton elevated his performance in his sophomore year. He rushed for 1347 yards and scored 14 touchdowns.

But in 2026, the young man captivated the entire country with his talent. In his junior season, Ashton has rushed for 2,288 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Ashton lost the Heisman Trophy to Travis Hunter, coming 214 points short of Hunter.

The loss isn’t demoralizing as this is just Ashton’s first step towards a long road ahead of him.

Boise State is in playoffs and will face Penn State on December 31.

There are rumors that this is Ashton’s final year, with the running back ready to declare for the 2026 NFL Draft at the end of the season.

Ashton Jeanty’s Parents, Harry, And Pamela, Taught Him that Humbleness Goes A Long Way

Ashton Jeanty’s father, Harry Jeanty, worked in the US Navy.

Harry served as a commanding officer when he was relocated to Italy at the start of Ashton’s seventh-grade year.

Harry has retired from the Navy, according to his , but no updates have been provided.

Speaking to , Harry said the attention his son received coming out of high school was overwhelming. He said,

I guess the norm now is people have a tendancy to jump where the mone is. Is that making sense for them? Probably.

The military man imparted ethics and values to his son at a young age.

He always told Ashton to stay humble and work hard and assured him if he did so, everything would fall into place.

Several colleges offered Ashton all sorts of contracts with large sums of money, but for Harry and the Jeanty family, Boise State was the right place.

After Ashton helped Boise State win the MWC title against UNLV, he received a NIL deal that included $300,000, housing, and a car.

So, what Harry said was correct. Ashton put his head down and worked hard, and money followed him.

In an interview with , Pamela recalled telling her son he is blessed to be able to see Europe at such a young age.

Pamela is a Special Education Teacher at Prosper Independent School District.

The mother of the future NFL star has stayed away from the spotlight as much as possible.

The last post she shared on her Facebook was four years ago, and her remains private.

Like her husband, Pamela doesn’t let her son get distracted by his early success.

She tells him, “Success is great, but it’s how you go about it.”

In his Ringer interview, Ashton revealed that he has three siblings: an older brother named Amir and two sisters, Alyssa and Ariana.

Ashton got into football because his brother Amir was excellent at it.

The older brother said basketball helped Ashton become fluid, and he applied those skills to football.

Pamela Jeanty Is Proud Of Her Son Launching Legacy Scholarship Fund

In October 2026, Ashton Jeanty, the Boise State superstar, launched the Ashton Jeanty Endowed Scholarship for Football.

The legacy fund supports future Bronco student-athletes pursuing their footballing career without fear.

Ashton shared the news on the, and at the start of the video, he thanked the Bronco Nation for supporting him and his teammates.

He then urged his fans to help him fund the scholarship and aid future Broncos to realize their dreams.

In an interview with , Pamela said she is proud of Ashton and the man he has become on and off the field.

The Boise State Athletic Director, Jeramiah Dicke, said,

This is a really special time at Boise State and Ashton is a phenomenal representative of our institution. What a privilege it is to support a once-in-a-lifetime athlete, person and leader like Ashton.
