Bridgetown Cricket Club player Brian Powell-Harper has died, leaving many of his close friends and Bridgetown Cricket community in shock. The Facebook group of Bridgetown Cricket Club shared the news on January 26, 2026.
The cricketer wasn’t too active on social media, and so weren’t his family members.
Keith Coulman, an active member of the Bridgetown Cricket Club, received the information of Brian’s death and informed the tight-knit cricket community.

With great sadness, we must report the recent death of a great friend and prolific run-scorer of Bridgetown C.C., Brian Powell-Harper. We have no further details to hand as I write. All at the club send our sinceere condolences to Brian’s family and friends at th time.

So, there is a good chance that Powell-Harper has made a good name in the local cricket community.
None of the Powell-Harper family members has shared information about Brian’s demise nor have shared photos of him as condolence posts on Facebook.
Brian Powell-Harper Played For A Historic Cricket Club
Though there is no public information about Brian’s stat line for Bridgetown Cricket Club, undoubtedly, Brian was a treasured member.
Looking at Brian Boundy’s profile, the person who commented that he had played with Powell-Harper previously at Morebath, the two seem to be former cricketers.
So, in his heyday, Brian enjoyed starring with his cricket bat for the club formed in 1924 in Exmoor.
Bridgetown’s cricket ground is considered one of the most picturesque grounds in England.

In July 2026, the club celebrated its centenary season (100 years) at the Coopers Associates County Ground, Taunton.
Last year, the club’s centenary season made headlines, and Test Match Special legend Vic Marks attended the ceremony as the guest of honor.
Brian’s family might share more information about his demise in a few more days. The family is in grief and is trying to process his death.
After the news of Brian’s death was shared on social media, a few websites seemed to have confused Brian Powell-Harper with Brian Charles-Harper.
Unlike Brian Powell-Harper, Charles-Harper lived in Clara City, Minnesota, and died on January 25, 2026.
Charles-Harper’s family and friends started sharing their , which confused a few websites, believing he was the cricket player who had passed away.
But that’s not the case. Charles Harper has left behind his wife, , and their daughter, Charlotte, with whom he could only spend six weeks.
Only a few days ago, Charles Harper and his wife, Leah, celebrated their daughter’s Baptism at the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church.
A few of Leah and Brian’s family and friends have started a GoFundMe for the new mother and her toddler.
The couple had recently purchased their first home and were looking forward to raising their small family.
Nonetheless, our heart goes out to both the Harper families, and may the lost soul rest in peace.
