Dylan Grant, a talented 24-year-old bull rider, tragically passed away following an accident at the Wharton County Youth Fair Xtreme Bulls event in Texas on April 3, 2026.

He was thrown off a bull during the second round of the event and suffered fatal injuries. His parents, Wade and Tiffany, and the rodeo community mourn his loss.

Despite being rushed to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston, Dylan succumbed to his injuries later that evening.

He has been riding since 2018 and began his professional journey last year. He dreamed of inspiring future generations in the arena and the classroom.

A seasoned competitor in PRORODEO and Xtreme Bulls events, he earned over $15,000 in prize money throughout his career, proving himself as a rising star.

Our rodeo family lost a talented young cowboy last night, April 3. Wyoming bull rider Dylan Grant was stepped on at the Wharton County Youth Fair Xtreme Bulls in Wharton, Texas. Medics worked on the 2026 University of Wyoming graduate in the ambulance at the scene. Dylan, 24, was then life-flighted to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston, where he was pronounced. There are no worthy words of sympathy at a time of such profound shock and sadness.

Dylan lived by chasing adrenaline, love, and life with everything he had. His family will soon hold his celebration of life for close friends and family members.
