Michael Scaglione, A Former Athlete From Cardinal Mindszenty High School, Passed Away Due To Illness, Preceded In Death By His Wife, Joyce!

Michael Scaglione, a former high school athlete in Phoenix, Arizona, passed away at the age of 73 from a medical condition that remains concealed.

Born in 1953, is survived by his son, Michael R. Scaglione, affectionately known as Mike, and brothers Thomas (Lecia) and Daniel (Linda).

He was preceded in demise by his wife, Joyce Beltisari, his brother Frank, and his parents, Anne and Frank.

Born and raised in Dunkirk, New York, Michael grew up as a star athlete at Cardinal Mindszenty High School.

His journey from a high school diamond to the minor leagues with the Pittsburgh Pirates was one of a kind.

Michael shone in baseball and basketball, earning attention for his skills.

Thanks to his skills straight out of high school in 1971, he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 4th-round selection and signed a contract to play professionally.

Though his baseball career was short, his passion for sports stayed with him forever.

After his time in sports, Michael worked in the gas and oil industry in central Ohio, often alongside his brother Frank.

Later, in 1992, Michael married Joyce Beltisari, and in 1993, they welcomed their son, Mike.

He also enjoyed cooking for family and friends, especially his famous pork and mushroom dish, which everyone loved.

In 2019, Michael retired and moved to Phoenix to be near his son. Even in retirement, he stayed a big fan of Ohio State, the Buffalo Bills, and the Indianapolis 500, often enjoying these events with his family.
