During his NBA draft party in Enderlin, North Dakota, Knecht’s mother, Carrie, talked about him and his father’s achievements, expressing her pride.

“It kind of goes to show Corey was a well-liked basketball player in the community so I think people are following Dalton because of that. It’s such a cool honor for them to have this draft party and be so excited to support him in that.”

Carrie expressed her happiness after Dalton’s NBA draft, stating that it has been a whirlwind and seeing his journey has been so much fun.

Talking about his mother, graduated from West Fargo High School in 1991 and earned her accounting degree from the University of North Dakota, where she met Dalton’s father.

Carrie has a bachelor of science in accounting degree from Regis University and currently serves as senior controller at Kruze Consulting.

Prior to that, she served as an associate director of Projects at Cognizant Technology Solutions and Controller at Cognizant Quick Left.
