A tragic car crash in Florida has claimed the lives of three high school seniors from Massachusetts, with a fourth student in critical condition.
The accident happened on the night of 21st April in the Florida panhandle, where the group was spending spring break.
The victims, Jimmy McIntosh, Hannah Wasserman, and Maisey O’Donnell, were all 18-year-old seniors at Concord-Carlisle High School.
Maisey O’Donnell was a competitive diver from Concord, Massachusetts, representing Boston Area Diving.
Before diving, Maisey competed as a Junior Olympic gymnast.
Family And Friends Mourn The Loss Of Maisey O’Donnell
Maisey is survived by her loving parents, Betsy and Christopher O’Donnell, and her younger sister, Emmy.
Emmy O’Donnell shared the deep pain of losing not just a sister, but her closest friend and role model on Instagram.
Emmy described Maisey as kind, funny, and incredibly smart, someone who was always there when she needed her most.
Whether driving to school, going on vacations, grabbing food after practice, or simply laughing together, the time they spent side by side created a connection that words could never fully capture.
To those who knew her, Maisey was a light full of warmth, potential, and unwavering love.
Emmy expressed how deeply she admired her sister, seeing her as family and an inspiration in everything she did.
Now facing a world without Maisey, Emmy holds tightly to those memories and promises to carry her sister’s spirit forward, always striving to make her proud.
i don’t really have words. I never thought this day would come. I love you more than anything in this world. You were my sister but my best friend. There was never a day that you weren’t there for me when i needed you most. You were so kind, funny and smart. I remember the times when it felt like nothing else mattered and it was just you and me laughing together. To those who knew you , you were so special. You were so full of light and potential. I don’t know what to do without you. You were my inspiration and my role model in everything i did. I will always remember every drive to school, vacation, food and gym run. You will always be so loved by everyone. I know you will always be watching over me and i promise to make you proud. Rest easy
Only in September 2026 did Maisey proudly announce that she had committed to Williams College, the top-ranked liberal arts college in the country.
It was an exciting moment for her and everyone who supported her journey.
At the time, she was the reigning state champion in diving and qualified for both USA and AAU Nationals that summer.
No one could have imagined she’d be taken so soon.
Her passing has left a deep sadness among those who knew and loved her.
Many of her friends have shared memories and tributes on their Instagram stories, writing messages like “fly high” and remembering the joy, laughter, and light she brought into their lives.

- Standing 5’4″ and weighing 115 lbs, she competed primarily on the 3-meter springboard and secondarily on the 1-meter.
- She was the Level 4 State Champion in All-Around, Beam, Bars, and Floor and became the Level 5 State Champion on Beam.
- Concord-Carlisle junior Maisey O’Donnell won the Division 1 State Diving Championship after finishing second the previous year by just two points.
