Milwaukee Bucks Point Guard Damian Lillard recently inked a new “BLESSED” tattoo on his throat, adding to his extensive collection of tattoos.

All of Lillard’s curated tattoos carry significant meanings and reflect personal beliefs and experiences, from tributes to family to symbols of faith.

Besides being a tattoo enthusiast, the NBA player is dedicated to his career and has a deep passion for basketball.

To pay tribute to basketball, he even has a basketball tattoo on the back of his arm with banners that read “Forever Blessed.”

Furthermore, Damian has tattooed his Tokyo Olympic gold on his leg and an old watch on his wrist, symbolizing his signature gesture of pointing to his wrist after hitting a big shot in games.

Damian Lillard Acknowledges His Family, Who Are the Inspiration Behind Most of His Tattoos

has openly discussed his passion for tattoos, describing how he uses them to commemorate significant chapters of his life.

In 2019, the 34-year-old even did a tattoo tour with , where he discussed the meanings behind his tattoos.

In the video, he shared how his mother was against him getting tattoos when he was younger, saying:

My mom would never let me get tattoos. I always wanted to get a tattoo, but she never let me do it.

However, when he graduated high school, she agreed and even took him to get his first tattoo and even paid for it.

At 18, Damian inked his first tattoo with his brother, which features the letters “LB” styled similarly to the Warner Brothers logo, representing the Lillard Brothers.

Lillard also has a group tattoo with his friends that reads “Certified Fly Guy,” symbolizing their friendship.

Furthermore, the NBA star grew up attending church and has tattooed 32:1-6 on his arm to reflect his personal beliefs.

Moreover, most of his tattoos are dedicated to his family. He has a full-sleeve tattoo for his family.

He has his sister’s and mother’s names on both hands. On his left arm, he has the faces of his grandfather, father, mother, and uncle tattooed.

The seven-time NBA All-Star expresses his gratitude and acknowledges the individuals who shaped him into the person he is today through his tattoos.

Damian Has a Curated Collection of Tattoos, From Ones Representing His Home State, His Career to His Life Experiences

Damian has a dedicated corner for his home state, Oakland, and has conveyed his affection for it through his tattoos.

He has a big Oakland with a heart at its roots and replaced the Warrior’s jersey, placing the tree where the legendary Golden State bridge was. He said:

The pattern right here is the Oakland tree. If you see all the city limit signs, you’ll see this tree all over the city. The root of the tree is a heart.

Additionally, Lillard has got an Oakland point guard one and one for all places he has lived.

Furthermore, he has also had tattoos of his idols from childhood, including the Raiders.

Damian also has a breast cancer ribbon for his grandmother, who battled breast cancer, and his brother’s girlfriend, who passed away from it.

More recently, he got one that read “Different On Levels the Lord Allowed” on his left calf to commemorate his to the NBA 75th anniversary team.

Over the years, he has embraced fatherhood by getting tattoos for his children, including their portraits and a crown for his firstborn son.

Nonetheless, Damian’s tattoos have served as a beautiful expression of his identity and significant moments of his life.
