Dani Busboom Kelly, an American former indoor volleyball player and current coach, credits her longtime husband, Lane Kelly, for being a constant source of support throughout her sports journey.
Former Nebraska volleyball star Dani Busboom Kelly returns to her alma mater as the fourth head coach of the University of Nebraska volleyball team following John Cook’s retirement on January 29, 2026.
Furthermore, Dani Busboom Kelly celebrates her significant achievement with her husband, Lane Kelly, a Nebraska alumnus.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska, in April 1984, Lane Kelly is a formerwho played for the Nebraska Cornhuskers men’s football team for one season in 2004.

Although Lane Kelly’s sports journey was short, he played defense for the Nebraska football team in 2004, recording a total of six tackles, including four solo and two assisted.

Although Dani Busboom Kelly and her husband, Lane Kelly, both began their career as athletes, Lane Kelly decided to end his football journey to pursue his career in accounting.
Moreover, Lane Kelly is excelling in and has been working as a Senior Account Manager, Southeast at Exertis Almo Pro A at Almo Corporation, a department stores company founded in 1946, for almost seven years.
In addition to being the senior account manager at Exertis, he has been an account manager for Almo Professional for over seven years.
Earning his Criminal Justice degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Lane Kelly previously worked as a private investigator at Withheald.
He also served as a Loss Mitigation Investigator at M&T Bank before beginning his career as an accountant with Almo Corporation.
Similarly, Lane Kelly’s displays that he went to Creighton Preparatory School.
His social media is also filled with pictures of his longtime wife, Dani, and their son, Boone.
