Football coach Deion Sanders’ first wife, Carolyn Chamber Sanders, is a real estate service provider in Texas.

Deion Sanders to fix college football. He has been vocal about college football’s need for a salary cap similar to the NFL.

Sanders went on the record about the topic during a recent interview with USA Today Sports’ Jarrett Bell. He said,

“There should be some kind of cap,”  “Our game should emulate the NFL game in every aspect. Rules. Regulations. Whatever the NFL rules, the college rules should be the same. There should be a cap, and every team gets this, and you should be able to spend that.”

He added,

“The competitive advantage is the school that has hundreds of millions of dollars, and not us,” “You look at who’s always in the playoffs, you can look at their budget and look at this budget. That’s the advantage—not who has the autonomy to do a spring game.”

He also criticized the NCAA for allowing states to decide most NIL legislation and allowing the market to get out of control.

Sanders’ comments came as a landscape of college athletics braces for the House settlement to be finalized.

His proposal for a salary cap was another call for college football to set a better standard with a uniform structure.

American football coach and former player Deion Sanders married Carolyn Chambers Sanders in 1989.

In 1997, Deion went through a dark time when his marriage to Carolyn was ending.

He said he attempted by driving a car off a cliff in Cincinnati while playing for the Reds.

Later, Carolyn and Deion separated in 1998. However, the reason behind their divorce has not been revealed.

Following the divorce, Deion married Pilar Biggers-Sanders in 1999 and had three children: Shilo, Shedeur, and Shelomi Sanders.

However, his second marriage also ended in 2015. He is currently engaged to American businesswoman and TV producer Tracey Edmonds.

On the other hand, the claimed that Carolyn married Eric Strickland, a former professional basketball player, in 2002.

Chambers is a successful real estate broker, notary signing agent, financial consultant, author, and philanthropist.

Deion and Carolyn were blessed with one daughter, Deiondra Sanders, and one son, Deion Sanders Jr.

Deiondra, 34, born on April 17, 1992, in Atlanta, GA, is a reality star and entrepreneur most famous for her appearance on the show Deion’s Family Playbook and Deion and Pilar Sanders: Prime Time Love.

She is line Love Me Extensions and the joint owner of the online show boutique “House of Sole.”

She welcomed her first baby, a son named Snow, with R&B musician Jacquees on Friday, August 9, 2026.

Deiondra on Instagram, detailing the obstacles she faced throughout her pregnancy in the caption.

On the other hand, Deion’s son Deion Sanders Jr., 32, born on December 1, 1993, is best known as a cornerback and wide receiver for the Southern Methodist University Mustangs football team.

He spent his final high school year at the Atlanta Sports Academy as a 3-star collegiate recruit.

During his at SMU in 2014, he was named to the 2nd team All-American Conference as a kick returner.

He was in a relationship with an Instagram model, Brittany Faye.
