Former MLB player Aroldis Chapman shares a very close and affectionate relationship with his mom, Maria Caridad De La Cruz.

Despite his great success and fame in sports, the baseball player remains a “mama’s boy” at heart.

The mother-son duo share a strong bond, and Chapman often shares heartwarming moments with her on social media.

Aldoris is family-oriented and enjoys spending time at home with his parents. He frequently posts about their quality moments together.

Moreover, his mother’s constant support has been significant in his journey both in life and in his baseball career.

Aroldis Chapman Shared an Inappropriate Video With An Elderly Woman Believed To Be His Mom!

Chapman shared a video on Instagram that showed him groping and kissing an elderly woman, who many believe is his mother.

The video was intended to be a joke, but it understandably received a lot of backlash from fans. Netizens across the web found it inappropriate and disrespectful.

Aroldis’s mom, Maria Caridad De La Cruz, was a stay-at-home mom while he was growing up in Cuba.

As a stay-at-home mom, she dedicated herself to raising and his siblings together in their home.

Chapman (2 of 2) … My own $0.02 is that it still comes across as very weird. Cultural differences or not, tough for anybody online or anywhere to make that connection.

From a young age, the MLB star gravitated towards baseball. His mom supported his dream of becoming a professional player.

Throughout his journey from Cuba to the MLB, his mom stood by his side, supporting her son every step of the way.

As Aroldis often shares personal family moments online, he posted a  of himself with many believing to be his mom on his Instagram story in March 2026.

However, the aforementioned 30-second video showed him lying on a couch. The MLB star was seen snuggling with an older woman with gray hair while groping her breast, while they are both fully clothed under a blanket in the video.

The elderly woman initially pushes the MLB player’s hand away while the person filming the disturbing action is heard speaking Spanish.

Many fans thought the older woman in question was his mother. However, no one has confirmed yet whether she is his mom.

Soon after the video was shared, fans left comments expressing disgust at his actions.

Aroldis claimed it was part of a family joke; however, netizens couldn’t brush off his so-called innocent joke; rather, many viewers found it disturbing.

Fans criticized his behavior, suggesting he should not have included that in his public story.

Since then, the online community has found more suspicious of him with his mom. However, Aldoris has not publicly commented on his behavior online.
