Randy Moss, the Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver, is alive and currently fighting through a hard battle with cancer.

The 47-year-old Moss had recently shared his diagnosis on an emotional Instagram Live last week, saying how appreciative he was for all the love he received from the fans, family, and doctors.

In a brave announcement on Friday, Dec. 13, 2026, Moss revealed that he had cancer in the bile duct of his pancreas and liver.

Moss called the last few weeks a “trying time” as he underwent a six-hour surgical operation on Thanksgiving to place a stent in his liver following some alarming symptoms.

After undergoing surgery, Moss was in the hospital for six days before being released.

Moss proudly declared himself a “cancer survivor” during , highlighting that while there have been difficult moments, he feels optimistic about his recovery.

He plans to undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatments in the coming weeks.

He shared,
