Former Timpanogos High School Baseball Player Brayden Wood Died at 19, Survived by His Parents, Dale and April Wood!

Brayden Wood, a former baseball player from Timpanogos High School in Orem, Utah, passed away unexpectedly on February 26, 2026, at the age of 19.

The exact cause of his death has yet to be publicly disclosed, leaving the circumstances unclear as of now.

Friends say he’d stayed late that day, pitching extra drills to struggling teammates. Sadly, by nightfall, his family faced unimaginable loss

Brayden Michael Wood is survived by his parents, April and Dale Woods, and four siblings: Brooklyn, Kendall, Mckinley, and Easton.

The 19-year-old was preceded in death by his grandfather, Theron Wood; aunts NaTasha AdamsWendy Wood-Hood, and TaNiesha Adams; and his uncle, Gabe Adams.

, the father of Brayden Wood’s friend Chloe, penned a lengthy eulogy following his demise, writing:

Pains me so much to even have share this. B Wood I loved you so much!! I will always cherish our time we had together. I will cherish you going to a dance with Chloe. I will Cherish you being Dylan’s little brother @ Timpanogos Baseball. I will cherish all the baseball games i watched with you and watched you play. And I will cherish the times we got to talk downstairs getting haircuts. If anyone can please help our friends the woods in laying their oldest son to rest.

In the wake of this loss, Jason Wood launched a campaign to help his family cover funeral expenses. The fundraiser has exceeded its goal of $20,000 and has raised $43,320.

The description reads, “We want to give Brayden the farewell he deserves, but the cost of funeral expenses is overwhelming. Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to our family during this difficult time.

Timpanogos High School Graduate Brayden Wood Was Serving as an Assistant Coach!

Brayden was a standout athlete, known for wearing the #4 jersey for the Timpanogos Timberwolves. He played baseball since he was 8, turning out at all levels for the T-Wolves.

He graduated from Timpanogos High School in May of 2026. He played a significant role in helping his team become State Champs during his Junior year, a highlight of his young career.

However, the relationships he built with family and friends were the trophies he cherished most. Whether at home, hunting, fishing, camping, or playing sports, Brayden’s happiest moments were spent with the people he loved most.

Beyond high school, Brayden contributed to the sport as an assistant coach for the Utah Warriors 13U team and spent many years playing at Orem Youth Baseball fields.

From a young age, Brayden’s passion for baseball was evident. He could always be found with a baseball and glove, and he dedicated countless hours to perfecting his skills.

While other children played video games, Brayden would be outside, wearing his signature Yankees hat and perfecting his pitching and batting techniques.

In addition to his love for baseball, Brayden enjoyed playing Hot Wheels with his siblings, building creative projects, and finding entrepreneurial ways to earn money with friends.

He was also a compassionate human being and a sports lover. His compassionate nature was recognized early on, as he received the “kindness award” in middle school.

Brayden’s funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd, at 12 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 60 E. 1600 N. Orem, Utah 84057.

There will be a second viewing from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the funeral. Following the funeral services, Brayden will be buried at Orem Cemetery, 1520 N. 800 E. Orem, Utah 84097.
