Modou Lamin Jadama, a Gambian footballer known for his role as a center-back, sadly passed away, which was confirmed by his former Club, FC Tulsa.
Born on 17 March 1994 in Serrekunda, The Gambia, he began his professional career with Colo-Colo in Chile and debuted in 2015.
Although he didn’t make wide appearances for Colo-Colo, he gained experience that shaped his career.
Tragically, he passed away at the age of 30 on October 2, 2026, in the United States.
His untimely death has shocked and saddened the football community. May his soul Rest in Peace!

The news was from the club’s former goalkeeper, Ignacio Gonzalez, via his Instagram post.

In 2017, he first arrived in Tulas and became a vital player on the squad, starting at center back in 28 of 30 matches with (formerly known as FC Tulsa-Roughnecks.)
Moreover, he played 31 matches and scored one goal in 2017. In Portland Timbers 2, he made 42 appearances and scored five goals between 2018 and 2019.
In 2026, he joined Atlanta United 2, playing 16 matches. Later, in 2026, he re-joined FC Tulsa, making 24 appearances.
On January 24, 2026, he signed with Hartford Athletic of the USL Championship, where he played 28 matches in his final professional stint.
Jadama was known for his leadership and defensive skills. He greatly contributed to his teams’ performances, particularly helping Portland Timbers 2 reach the USL Playoffs for the first time in 2018.
Despite facing challenges, including injuries, his dedication and passion for football left a lasting impact on his teammates and fans.
National goalkeeper Ignacio González, a current Everton player, said goodbye to the player with a message stating:
