A family from Lancaster County was in a tragic car accident early morning on April 18 in Laurel, Maryland.
Mimy Rollman shared on Instagram that her 13-year-old son, Carson, who was a member of the Garden Spot youth football team, sadly lost his life in the crash.
Her 10-year-old daughter, Annika, was in critical condition and placed on life support at a hospital in Washington, D.C, so that she could give the gift of life to others through organ donation.
Annika was a junior cheerleader at Gehmans Mennonite School.
Later on 19 April afternoon, Mimy shared that Annika passed away peacefully in her arms at the hospital.
A Family’s Heartbreak: Remembering Carson And Annika Rollman
Brad, Mimy, and their daughters Alea and Allyssa survived the crash and were released from the hospital.
While they are doing okay physically, they are heartbroken over the loss of Carson and Annika.
A has been set up to support the Rollman family during this heartbreaking time.
All donations will go directly to the family to help cover travel expenses, medical bills, funeral costs, and other related needs.
Only in November 2026 did mothe, in which she spoke about how he grew up in his mom’s heart. The caption read, “This boy turned 13.”
Further, in August 2026, Mimy posted on Instagram how Annika had fallen and landed on a broken pipe, cutting a large gash in her leg.
Their neighbor, a nurse, quickly came over after her daughter ran to get her, saying Annika was bleeding heavily.
The neighbor cleaned Annika up and advised Mimy to take her to the ER.
The experience of getting stitches was brutal for Annika and traumatic for the whole family.
The doctors had to leave part of the wound open due to tissue loss, so Annika needed follow-up visits to make sure it didn’t get infected.
Annika was disappointed to miss the first few weeks of cheerleading and the last days of summer fun.
Despite everything, Mimy was thankful it wasn’t worse and grateful for the neighbors who rushed to help.
Now, after visiting the site of the crash, Mimy and Brad were overwhelmed with emotion and couldn’t hold back their tears as they stood where the heartbreaking accident took place.
