On April 6, 2026, the world lost a remarkable young man, Quin Williams, a former Georgia Southern University football star, who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 24.

Raised with love and support, he grew into a gentle giant, standing 6’3” tall with a heart to match his stature.
Quin eventually settled in Rutledge, Georgia, where he was living at the time of his passing. His journey, however, began at, where he first showed his incredible talent on the football field.
Under the guidance of Coach Bill Malone, Quin blossomed into a standout athlete.
ESPN Recruiting ranked him as a four-star recruit and the No. 20 outside linebacker in the nation.
As a sophomore, he earned an honorable mention all-state selection by the Georgia Sports Writers Association (GSWA).
But beyond the stats and accolades, those who knew him remember Quin for his character.

However, his final season in 2026-23 was cut short. Diagnosed with a medical condition before the Georgia State game, Quin was sidelined for the remainder of the year.
Despite this setback, he remained firm.
in 2026, focusing on Sports Management, Public Relations, and Business. This shows his strong will to succeed both in sports and in life.
Quin was a hard worker with a grounded spirit.
For four years, he worked as an animal caretaker and farm laborer at Godfrey Farm, embracing the simplicity of agricultural life.
After graduating, he explored other paths, spending three months as a pipefitter and welder at IMMEC Inc.
Since October 2026, Quin has been a tax appraiser for the Board of Assessors. This role showcases his adaptability and commitment to building a future.

“Quin Williams was a very good football player, but a great person, and fun to be around. He would always text me on my birthday and say “Happy Birthday Coach V.” He was always thoughtful of others, and I’m going to miss you Quin. I know that you are in a much better place and I Love you man. RIH Quin Williams #15”

“Quin was among the most talented football players we had in the area back then. He was underrated on the court, too. I remember very well how Quin fought through some type of stomach illness to help the basketball team win one of its many region championships.”
