Joe Montana, an American former professional football quarterback, has been married three times: first to Kim Moses, then to Cass Castillo, and currently to his wife, Jennifer Wallace.

Born on June 11, 1956, in New Eagle, Pennsylvania, he began his NFL career in 1979 after a stellar college tenure at Notre Dame.

Drafted in the third round by the San Francisco 49ers, he earned his first starting role in 1980, showcasing his clutch ability with his first of 31 career fourth-quarter comebacks, defeating the Saints.

In 1981, Montana became the full-time starting quarterback, leading the 49ers to a 13-3 record and their first Super Bowl victory.

That season, his game-winning touchdown pass to Dwight Clark in the NFC Championship Game, famously known as “The Catch,” became one of the most iconic moments in NFL history, and he earned his first Super Bowl MVP.

In 1984, he led the 49ers to an incredible 15-1 season and a dominant win in Super Bowl XIX against the Miami Dolphins, earning his second Super Bowl MVP award.

Montana retired in 1995 after a celebrated 16-year career, leaving behind an impressive legacy that includes eight Pro Bowl selections and six All-Pro honors.

In 2000, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and in 1997, the 49ers honored him by retiring his iconic No. 16 jersey.

Known as “Joe Cool” and “The Comeback Kid,” Montana is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.
