The Dominican professional baseball outfielder for San Diego Padres, Juan Soto’s brother Elian Soto is a baseball prodigy.

Maybe it runs in the family that both Soto brothers are good at the sport.

Juan Jose Soto Pacheco, born on October 25, 1998, is a Dominican for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB).

He started his MLB journey by signing with the Washington Nationals as an international free agent in 2015. But his professional MLB debut came only in 2018.

Just a few years since his professional career started, he has already won World Series and been named to All-Star twice and All-MLB First Team twice. He also earned Silver Slugger Award three times.

Moreover, during his minor league career, Soto was named the GCL’s most valuable player and was ranked the Nationals’ second-best prospect by MLB Pipeline.

Like him, his brother, Elian, has a passion for baseball and is following in his footsteps.

Elian Soto, born on January 10, 2006, is an outstanding outfielder and third baseman. Like his brother, Juan, the left-handed hitter is represented by super agent Scott Boras of the Boras Corporation.

He is also considered the child prodigy with much greater potential and can achieve greater things if trained right.

At such young age, Elian has showcased his immense potential. As many would say, having such potential now leaves much greater room for improvement later in the future.

Just in his teens, the younger Soto has already received several offers from different teams willing to sign this promising player.

To have such great options lined up to sign him proves how great of a player he is.

We hope both Soto brothers make a remarkable impression in baseball and wish they reach greater heights in the coming future.

Besides, the Soto brothers also have a sister, Natali Soto. From the looks of it, the siblings share a tight bond.

The Child Prodigy Signed With The Nationals

Elian, who just turned 17 years in January 2026, signed with the Washington Nationals as an International Free Agent the same month.

The signing was long due. In 2026, before Elian was eligible, he the team his elder brother was playing at that time, i.e., Washington National.

However, just a few days prior to the official signing, Juan Soto’s brother had also declared his intentions to sign with New York Mets.

But he eventually inked a deal with the Nationals and snubbed the Mets. The reason for choosing the Nationals over the Mets is reportedly due to the discrepancy in money and familiarity with the Nationals system.

Elian reportedly signed a $225,000 signing bonus as a part of a minor league contract with the Nationals.

Many respectful figures of the game have praised Juan Soto’s brother for his exceptional skills.
