The FOX Sports’ play-by-play announcer, Joe Davis, and his wife, Libby Davis, tied the knot in 2013. Today, the couple is parents to three kids, including two sons and a daughter.

Born and raised in Potterville, Michigan, Joe attended Beloit College, Wisconsin.

The sportscaster was a quarterback at Beloit, but that was until he suffered an injury during his sophomore season.

After that, he switched to becoming a receiver.

Davis’ love for broadcasting was visible during his early college days.

He called games for the Schaumburg Flyers, and one day, he decided to send his resume to Montgomery Biscuits, the Tampa Bay Rays’ Double-A affiliate.

It was a shot in the dark, but Davis’s luck was such that he got the role.

Joe Davis’ Wife, Libby Davis, Previously Worked At A Pharmaceutical Company

Joe Davis’ wife, Libby Davis, like him, hails from Michigan.

However, unlike Joe, Libby didn’t move out of Michigan and received her undergraduate degree from Great Lake State.

Soon after in 2009, Libby and Joe moved to Montgomery, Alabama.

The couple also revealed that during the first three years, Libby was the one who largely supported the two financially.

She worked in the marketing and sales department of Kowa Pharmaceuticals.

During his interview, Joe said:

Right away, from the very start to now, she’s been a bigger fan and supporter of my career than even I have. When she followed me to Montgomery after we graduated college, that’s when I knew I probably had a keeper.

After a few years of grinding, Joe landed a job with ESPN, allowing the couple to move back home to Michigan.

Libby said she appreciated being closer to friends and family and that it was a breath of fresh air to wake up and eat breakfast with Joe.

The Davis family currently reside in South Pasadena, California, with Libby playing the role of a full-time mom of three.

Joe And Libby Met For The First Time At A New Year’s Party

The couple met for the first time at a New Year’s Party in Michigan on December 31, 2007.

Joe, with his friends, traveled from Potterville to Allendale and Grand Valley to attend Chad Richardson’s party.

Libby had no intention of going to the party, but her friends were reluctant.

Chad wanted to set up Joe with Libby’s friend Betsy, but it was Libby and Joe who immediately hit off.

After four years of dating, in April 2011, Joe bought the engagement ring and took it to the safe deposit box at the bank.

He then spent the next few months contemplating how he could make the proposal special.

Joe worked with Libby’s mom, and they made an album of Libby’s significant moments.

On the final page, Joe put a picture of a teddy bear he had got Libby on their first Valentine’s Day and on the bear’s lap was a ring box.

Joe and Libby shared their story on their , sharing details of their romantic life from the beginning till their wedding date.

The proposal took place on July 17, 2011, with Joe getting up to make an early breakfast and towards the end of the breakfast, Joe handed Libby the album.

Two years after the proposal, on June 15, 2013, the couple tied the knot at the Basilica of St. Adalbert in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The Sportscaster Joe Davis And His Wife Are Parents To Three Kids

On March 26, 2016, the homemaker Libby revealed to her Instagram followers that she was pregnant.

She shared a black-and-white image of herself standing on top of Lookout Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona.

On June 22, 2016, Libby announced the birth of their first child, a baby girl, whom they named Charlotte.

After their move to California, Libby shared a with open arms at the Dodger Stadium.

The couple welcomed their second child and first son, Blake Harrison Davis, on November 6, 2018.

Joe announced the birth of the baby boy, and Libby  of Blake on Christmas 2018, with a family picture under the Christmas tree.

In July 2026, the couple shared the news of the birth of their third child, Theodore Orel Davis.
