The New York Giants’ quarterback Drew Lock’s father, Andy Lock, tragically passed away.
Andy Lock played offensive tackle at the University of Missouri and later served as a regional manager for McCormick & Schmick’s chain.
In 2012, Andy and his business partner, Domhnall Molloy, turned Lee’s Summit Steakhouse into Summit Grill.
Lock and Molloy also Lakewood Liquor, 815 N.E. Lakewood Blvd., converting it to Summit Cellar & Spirits.
They also own Summit Grill and Boru Ramen Bar in Waldo.
Their Third Street Social, which in 2014, introduced seven new hand-crafted summer cocktails, including the 3rd St. Float with Grand Marnier, Kahlua, Baileys Irish Cream, whipped cream, orange zest, and Chilled espresso.
In 2017, Lock and Molloy were named the 2017 Restaurateurs of the Year by the GKCRA.

Summit Grill and Bar owner Andy Lock tragically took his last breath in April 2026. Some sources have that he died after suffering a heart attack.
Following his death, his friends and relatives poured their heartfelt condolences through their official social media handles.
His longtime friend Marc Murphy, a sales specialist at Dell’s Powersports, took to his official Facebook handle and thanked Andy for the support. He wrote,
We lost a great man today, a roll model, a mentor, a true leader, a father, a husband, and truly an amazing friend. Thank you Andy Lock for believing in and supporting me but most of all thank you for being you. It’s never goodbye, I’ll see you later… Cheers mate. Rest easy big guy.
Tim Brubaker, a former president at County Bank who retired in 2018, also mourned the loss of Andy by stating,
So sorry to hear of the passing of Andy Lock. He was such a nice guy. Also a great Restaurateur.
Jessica McCoy also took her Facebook handle and Andy for helping her late brother, Jeff. She wrote,
So sad to hear about the devastating loss of Andy Lock. Not only did he make a significant impact on the Kansas City community, but he personally helped my late brother, Jeff . He provided my brother with a wonderful opportunity to assist with managing and opening his many restaurants around KC, including Summit Grill, Third Street Social, Pearl Tavern, Boru, and South of Summit. Jeff loved working under Andy’s leadership and embraced his business style. He thrived in the restaurant business and Andy gave him stability, hope, and genorosity while he battled cancer and the unknown of his future. Jeff’s restaurant family meant so much to him and I know Andy felt the same about his community. My heart is with Andy’s family, friends, and all those who loved him
Other close ones and relatives have also poured their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Andy’s family to stay strong in this heartbreaking moment.
Andy will be remembered for his unforgettable contributions to the Summit Grill and Bar restaurant. Rest in Peace, Andy Lock.

Andy Lock tied the knot with Laura Albert Lock, who volunteers for Our Lady of Presentation Catholic School. However, their married life ended following the tragic death of Andy.
Laura and Andy were blessed with two children, Drew Lock and Claire Lock.
Claire Lock’s handle shows that she lives in Lees Summit, Missouri, and graduated from Rockhurst University Occupational Therapy.
On the other hand, Drew Lock, 29, was born on November 10, 1996, in Columbia, Missouri, United States.
He is an American professional football quarterback who played college football for the Missouri Tigers and was selected by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft.
