Mac McClung has no girlfriend, and the NBA G-League player remains private about his relationship status. The Oscelo Magic player won the 2026 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, which propelled him to the limelight.

The 25-year-old McClung made history last year after he became the first G-League player to win the Slam Dunk Contest. He impressed everyone with his 360s and double pumps last year and looks to do the same this year.

Mac McClung Is The Reigning Slam Dunk Champion

McClung has appeared in four NBA games with three teams– the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, and Philadelphia 76ers. And he still hopes to make it big.

Going through his social media handle, it doesn’t look like Mac McClung has a girlfriend. But there is a high chance that the basketball player is trying to keep his romantic life out of the public limelight.

The 25-year-old G-League player, Mac McClung, hasn’t shared any family-related posts on his Instagram handle. Most, if not all, of his posts center around his basketball career.

If not, then his posts are related to brand promotions. A native of Gate City, Virginia, McClung began his basketball career with Gate City High School, where he established himself as an acrobatic dunker.

Mac McClung Seen Promoting Puma On His Social Media Handle

McClung was a collegiate player for three seasons, split between Georgetown and Texas Tech. During his time with the two college teams, McClung averaged just under 15 points and went undrafted in 2026.

He joined South Bay Lakers, the G-League team of the Los Angeles Lakers. He signed a ten-day contract with the Chicago Bulls but later returned to South Bay and won the G League Rookie of The Year.

Last year, he signed a two-year contract with the Philadelphia 76ers and won the NBA Dunk Contest, skyrocketing him to the public limelight. He also won the G-League title with Delaware Blue Coats, the 76ers’ affiliate team.

Despite not being very active on Instagram, McClung has 1.2 million followers. His last post came in November, a brand promotion. And even though some athletes like to hide their relationship, they get caught out when their partners tag them on the post.

But that’s not the case for McClung. There is a chance that he could either be too good at hiding his personal life details or the G-League star simply enjoys being single.

Mac McClung Contracts And Brand Deals

The brand deals started flying around left, right, and center for Mac McClung after he won the Slam Dunk contest last year. Along with taking home the trophy, Mac also took home the $100,000 prize.

The $100,000 prize money matched Mac’s career earnings across the G-League and single-game appearances for his stints with the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls.

In November, Mac signed a multi-year contract extension to remain with Puma. He had signed with the brand before his breakout performance at the NBA All-Star weekend.

Mac McClung Has Said He Has Rejected Million Dollar Worth Contracts To Stay In The G-League

He was also seen advertising the men’s jewelry brand Jaxxon and Break the Love, a sports brand dedicated to making recreational racquet sports accessible.

After the dunk contest, Mac also partnered with AT&T, which had partnered with the NBA. Last year, it was reported that when Mac signed a two-way contract with the 76ers, he would receive $508,891 as salary.

McClung has always made it clear that his passion is basketball and not just dunking. Mac has said he wants to make it to the NBA roster. So, for that reason, he has declined several million-dollar offers from Europe and China.

Will he regret it? Only time will tell.
