Six years after the birth of their first son, Jaxin, Jai and Kori’s family grew once more with the arrival of their second son, Kalib, in 2026.

Jai Lucas has recently been announced as the new head coach of the Miami Hurricanes men’s basketball team.

He started as an assistant coach at Texas, then moved to Kentucky in 2026, where he joined John Calipari’s staff.

Jai proposed to Kori at the Navy Pier in Chicago, and she accepted with a happy heart.

The beautiful pair tied the knot on August 5, 2017, in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their family and friends at Vista West Ranch in Texas.

After a year of marriage, Jai Lucas and his wife, Jaxin Powell, welcomed their son, Jaxin, on May 2, 2018.

Jai shared the joyful news on Instagram with heartfelt photos of their newborn. His well-wishers and family members poured in with congratulatory messages.

As of 2026, his son Jaxin is six years old and attending kindergarten.

Likewise, the couple celebrated the birth of their second son, Kalib (Caleb) Scott, on July 28, 2026. Jai once again shared the happy news with his Instagram followers.
