McLeod and his teammates of the 2018 Canadian national junior team, Carter Hart, , , and Cal Foote, were reportedly involved in a sexual assault of an unnamed woman in a local hotel room.

When the allegation became public in April 2026, the investigation started. However, no shreds of evidence proved the incident till April 2026.

As Mikey, he is assisting police in this investigation.

This time, the Canadian Police will conduct a rapid investigation and will soon hold a news conference on this matter.
