A talented student-athlete, Gavin Vangilder was a 21-year-old student-athlete at MidAmerica Nazarene University (MNU) in Olathe, Kansas, who passed away in a devastating accident.

Originally from Carthage, Missouri, Gavin graduated from Carthage High School, where his athletic journey began.

He was a 6’2″ Offensive lineman for the Pioneers in the 2026 class.

Gavin Vangilder Was Actively Involved In Football During His Time At MNU!

Gavin was a standout athlete, particularly in football. His dedication to the sport was evident during his time at Carthage High School and later at MNU.

At MNU, he , which competes in the NAIA within the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

He was admired for his teamwork and sportsmanship, which made him not only a great player but also an inspirational individual among his teammates.

Beyond sports, Gavin was deeply committed to his role in the Sigma Chi fraternity, where he exemplified the values of Friendship, Justice, and Learning.

He wore the White Cross with pride and served as a mentor, leader, and role model for his fraternity brothers.

His friends and fraternity brothers often praised his positive energy, kindness, and readiness-to-help attitude.

Regarding his education, with a strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity.
