Lane Hutson, an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the Montreal Canadiens of the NHL, shares his recent achievements with his parents.
With his exceptional hockey skills, the NHL star is already breaking records in Montreal at such a young age.
Lane recently became the defender in Habs history to reach 30 points in a season, leading Matvei Michkov by one point.
He reached 30 points in 42 career games; in the last 30 years, only 3 other defensemen reached 30 NHL points this quickly, including Cale Makar, Quinn Hughes, and Shayne Gostisbehere.
This recent achievement of Hutson has become a proud moment for his parents, who have been his guide and constant source of support in both his personal and professional life.
Talking about his parents, Lane was born on February 14, 2004, in Holland, Michigan, to his mother, Juilie Justus Hutson, and father, Robert, aka Rob Hutson.
Rob and Julie often share pictures of their sons on their social media, expressing their love and pride for their son.
Hutson has three brothers: an elder brother named Quinn and two younger brothers named Cole and Lars.
All his brothers are ice hockey players; Quinn played hockey with Lane at Boston University.
Similarly, Cole currently serves as the ice hockey defenseman for Boston University of NCAA. He recently won the gold medal at the 2026 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, representing the United States.
Lane Hutson Is Following In His Father’s Footsteps In Hockey!
Lane Hutson began playing hockey at a very young age, inspired by his athletic father, Rob Hutson, who played college hockey at the University of Illinois Chicago.
Rob also played in the UHL, a minor professional league. He began hisin 1987 with Bradon Wheat Kings U18 AAA in the MMHL in Canada, where he played five games and recorded one assist.
With his exceptional hockey skills, Lane’s father, Rob, joined Bellingham Ice Hawks of BCJHL in 1990 before moving to play for the University of Illinois-Chicago of NCAA in 1992.

After years of showcasing his remarkable performance at the University of Illinois, he joined Toledo Storm of ECHL.
Rob also played for several WPHL and CoHL teams, including Amarillo Rattlers, Austin Ice Bats, and Saginaw Lumber Kings during the 1996 to 1998 seasons.
He further joined UHL, a minor professional league, in 1999 and played for Muskegon Fury till 2003.

Similarly, Rob began his coaching career in 2012 as a head coach at Barrington High, and to date, has worked as a head coach and assistant head coach of several renowned teams, including Chicago Young American PW, Team Illinois 13U AAA, and Arizona Coyotes.
Rob also guided all his sons in pursuing their career in hockey and currently serves as the head coach of Team Illinois 16U AAA.
Very little information about Lane’s mother, , is available as she prefers to maintain a low life.
However, she was the marketing coordinator at North Ottawa Community Hospital in Grand Haven.
