Malik Beasley and Anthony Davis, former teammates, grabbed headlines with their playful exchange during the Lakers-Pistons game at Crypto.com Arena.

Born on November 26, 1996, Malik JonMikal Beasley is a terrific shooting guard for the Detroit Pistons of the NBA.

With his rapid drives, accurate three-pointers, quick breaks, and ferocious defense, Beasley is a constant source of energy for his team on the court.

Similarly, Anthony Marshon Davis Jr., also known as AD, is a prolific center for the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA.

The NBA All-Star has made four All-NBA First Teams and was named to five NBA All-Defensive Teams.

Besides iconic and unforgettable game performances, the NBA entertains basketball fans with amusing and hilarious moments.

During tonight’s game between the Lakers and the Pistons, a similar scenario occurred in which fans became more enthusiastic by a chucklesome moment.

While the teams’ outstanding performances entranced fans, they were also entertained by opponents Malik Beasley and Anthony Davis‘ laughable back and forth.

Malik Beasley was a former Lakers player and signed with the Pistons on July 11, 2026.

Hence, this means he was the teammate of Lakers standout center Anthony Davis.

Late in the first quarter, AD fought through two Pistons defenders, Paul Reed and Simone Fontecchio, and took a tough shot. He missed, but his loud “Ayy!” earned him a shooting foul.

Beasley, evidently unhappy, approached and slapped back, saying, “Just because you scream ‘AYYY’ doesn’t mean it’s a foul!

The sarcasm was genuine, and fans could not stop giggling at Beasley’s bravado.

Beasley’s remark reflects friendly competition and fun with his old teammate, showing no signs of hostility.

Meanwhile, Davis went to the line six times during the game and made four free throws.

Throughout the intense game, the Pistons held their lead, securing a stunning 117-114 victory in a matchup full of unforgettable moments.

Therefore, moments like this remind everyone that basketball is more than just a game; it’s also about the personality.

Anthony Davis and Malik Beasley played together for the Lakers during the 2026-2026 NBA season.

Beasley joined the Lakers in February 2026 before being traded from the Utah Jazz.

They worked together on the court and contributed to the Lakers’ victories in several matches.
