DeShon Elliott, professional football safety for the Pittsburgh Steelers, recently posted an Osama bin Tomlin meme on his Instagram, which has sparked outrage on the internet.
The 27-year-old footballer safely dumped the meme on his Instagram, as it was in almost the last photo among his bunch of other images of the recent post, which was captioned “ Osama bin Tomlin.”
DeShon Elliott cleverly photoshopped Mike Tomlin’s face onto bin Laden’s head in the meme.

The player had posted the Osama bin meme to make fun of Mike Tomlin, who has been working as a head coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League.
Mike Tomlin, who is African-American, and Osama bin Laden were both depicted wearing beards, and people humorously exaggerated their similarities to create a joke.
Although it is not clear what issues DeShon Elliott has with his coach to compare him with Osama bin Laden, the meme has backfired him as it is sparking outrages on the media.
Some people do not seem to like DeShon Elliott’s Osama bin Tomlin Meme as they make hate comments!
Although many of his Instagram fans seem to enjoy the meme, some people say he should not have used Osama bin Laden in the joke.
Osama bin Laden, a Saudi Islamist dissident, was a violent terrorist and mass assassin involved in the September 11, 2001, attack on the World Trade Center that left nearly 3,000 dead.
For the reader’s information, DeShon Elliott was four years old when the tragic attack happened in the World Trade Center.
Therefore, DeShon Elliott’s comparison of an extremely negative figure like Bin Laden to the respected personality Tomlin Meme offended many people.
In their opinion, this type of joke can spread negative information to the public and can also negatively impact Mike Tomlin’s professional career.
As people uploaded DeShon Elliott’s Osama bin Tomlin meme to social media sites, some reactions on Twitter included, “What the hell?” “That’s not funny!” and “Tomlin is not going to stand for this one, unfortunately.”
However, many of his fans take it as a normal joke, and one even said, “I’ve seen enough, give this man Defensive Player of the Year.”
