Born on November 6, 1976, in Fremont, California, Patrick Daniel Tillman was an American professional football player and U.S. Army Ranger.
He was born to parents Mary and Patrick Kevin and raised alongside his two brothers, Kevin and Richard.
Tragically, he passed away on April 22, 2004, due to friendly fire. Initially, the Army reported that he was killed by enemy fire, but it was later during a chaotic firefight.
After his death, he was posthumously awarded several honors, including the Silver Star, for his gallantry against an enemy of the United States.
He was honored with the Purple Heart for being wounded or killed in any action against an enemy.
Additionally, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for outstanding non-combat meritorious achievement or service.
One of the controversial parts is that his personal notebook was burned by members of his unit.

Kevin Tillman, Pat’s younger brother, also served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Army Ranger like his brother.
They both served together in Iraq and Afghanistan, and Kevin continued to advocate for the same values that Pat held.
After Pat’s death, Kevin continued to serve and later became vocal about the circumstances surrounding his brother’s death.
He has written essays and spoken publicly about the impact of foreign policy and the truth behind Pat’s friendly fire incident.
On the other hand, Richard, born on January 24, 1984, is the youngest among the Tillman brothers.
He is an American actor known for his roles in movies such as Superhero Movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still, and Rest Stop: Don’t Look Back. He has also appeared in TV shows like Phil of the Future and NCIS.
According to his , Richard likely started his career in 2002 with the TV series What I Like About You.
During the ESPY Awards on July 16, 2003, at the Kodak Theatre, Richard accepted the Arthur Ashe Courage Award on behalf of his brothers, Pat and Kevin Tillman.
Additionally, after his tragic death. At Pat’s funeral, he stated,
“My brother’s f*****g dead, he wasn’t religious, he isn’t in a better place, he would want me to say that.”
Kevin Continues To Honor His Brother’s Legacy And Advocate For Change
Kevin Tillman is an American anti-war activist, former U.S. Army soldier, and former minor league baseball player.
Born on January 24, 1978, in San Jose, California, Kevin graduated from Arizona State University and California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly).
Before joining the military, he was involved in sports and played minor-league baseball for the Cleveland Indians’ farm system.

However, he ended his baseball career in 2002 after the September 11 attacks.
After that incident, Kevin and his brother Pat joined the U.S. Army Rangers on May 31, 2002.
Together, they completed the basic training and Ranger Assessment and Selection Program.
Then after, they were assigned to the 2nd Ranger Battalion in Fort Lewis, Washington.
They both served in Iraq and Afghanistan as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Moreover, Kevin received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPY Awards in 2003.
Following his military service, he transitioned into the software industry. Thereafter, he became an outspoken opponent of the Iraq War and U.S. foreign policy, writing essays and articles on the subject.
He is currently single and has no children as of the time of this article.
