Football players Jamarion Grady and his twin brother Camarion died following a drowning accident while they were fishing.

Jamarion “Frog” Grady was a for the Philadelphia Tornadoes football team in Mississippi.

Standing at 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds, he also brought a strong presence to the defensive side of the ball.

A member of the Class of 2026, Grady played varsity basketball for several seasons. Throughout the 2026-2026 season, he appeared in every game.

Jamarion Grady Tragically Lost His Life In An Accidental Drowning

Jamarion Grady and his twin brother Camarion Grady died days apart after drowning at a Mississippi lake on Thursday, April 17, 2026.

According to multiple , Jamarion and Camarion were fishing at Lake Pushmataha in the Pearl River community.

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said the twins had been under the water for quite some time.

Jamarion was pronounced dead on Thursday, and his twin brother, Camarion, was flown to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he died on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2026.

Following Jamarion’s death, the Philadelphia Public School District released a :

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Jamarion Grady, a senior at Philadelphia High School, who tragically lost his life in an accidental drowning. We are holding Jamarion’s twin brother, Camarion, and the entire Grady family close in our hearts and prayers. We are praying for their strength, peace and healing in this time of unimaginable sorrow. We extend our deepest condolences to all who loved Jamarion. Plans to honor his life and memory, both in school and throughout the community, will be shared in the coming days. ‘Frog’ will always be remembered — for his light, his laughter and the legacy of love he leaves behind.”

Northeast Lauderdale High School also took to their Facebook handle to mourn the loss of Jamarion. They ,

Our thoughts & prayers during this difficult time are with the Philadelphia Tornadoes, the community & all who loved the Grady boys. So many supported us through our time of loss this year & we will do the same for others!

Philadelphia resident Danajah Willis organized a fundraising campaign on to help Grady’s family with funeral costs. The campaign aims to collect $20k, and it has collected around $11,059.

Other close ones and relatives have offered their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Jamarion’s family to stay strong in this heartbreaking moment.

Jamarion Grady Is Survived By His Mother, Rasheedah Blacks, And Father, Rodney Dell McClendon Jr.

Jamarion Grady’s mother, Rasheedah Black, and father, Rodney Dell McClendon Jr., are mourning the loss of her twin sons.

On April 18, 2026, Grady took to her official handle and asked for prayers for her family. She wrote,

Morning….Yawl please pray for my baby please Lord🙏🏽🙏🏽I need him….thats my baby…always the life of the party never met a stranger always making someone smile… if yawl don’t do ANYTHING ELSE TODAY…. Pray for my fatty🤞🏽❤️

Rasheedah lives in Philadelphia, Mississippi, and went to Philadelphia High School, Philadelphia, MS. She has been a CNA at Precision Healthcare Staffing, LLC, since August 1, 2026.

On the other hand, Rodney also took to his handle to mourn the death of Jamarion and Camarion. He wrote,

❤️❤️ik they are smiling dwn on us jankin & laughing but boys yall really hurt us I’ve always wanted the best for all yall & still do i promise yall will live thur all of us to the end of time 😇😇💪🏾💪🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Rodney is from Stallo, Mississippi, and lives in Philadelphia. He the Noxapater Attendance Center and later graduated from East Central Community College.

He worked at Weyerhaeuser from April 2016 to October 2026.

Moreover, Jamarion and Camarion are survived by their four siblings, whose identities have not been revealed.
