His career spanned six decades across nine different countries, where he worked to improve education and promote social change.

He played a key role in integrating Denver Public Schools‘ social studies curriculum in the 1960s.

Tragically, Loyal Darr passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 87. He was deeply connected to Regis Jesuit High School, where his son, Matt, serves as the Head Baseball Coach.

Also, he was the grandfather of Addison (Class of 2026) and Isaiah (Class of 2026), along with younger siblings Elijah and Joshua.

His passing has deeply affected the Regis Jesuit community, which has come together in support and remembrance.
