The foundation also supports other charitable efforts, such as raising $1 million for a Boys & Girls Club facility in San Diego and hosting events like Christmas parties for underprivileged families.

John Lynch’s wife, Linda, is the sister of ex-NFL player John Allred. During a 1997 NFL matchup, Lynch delivered such a powerful hit to Allred that it nearly knocked him unconscious.
Coming from a media background, Lynch’s father, John Lynch Sr., had a career as a radio executive in San Diego and helped establish XEPRS-AM 1090, a station focused on sports talk.
Beyond football, Lynch showed promise in baseball and was selected by the Florida Marlins as a pitcher in the 1992 MLB draft, going in the second round with the 66th overall pick.
