On That Fateful Saturday Evening, Lane’s Life Took A Tragic Turn

When his pickup truck veered off the road, he drove south on S-431 near mile 14 in Teton County.

, Lane lost control as he navigated a right-hand curve, hit a delineator post, and over-corrected, causing the vehicle to overturn.

Sadly, Lane was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the truck.

He passed away at the scene, leaving behind a community in shock and grief.

Lane’s passing has left his family shattered.

His parents, Stephani Johnson and Kurt Johnson, along with his brother Josey Hinderager and two sisters, are struggling to cope with the loss of their beloved son and brother.

In a heartfelt tribute, Stephani shared her grief, expressing how proud she was of Lane and the pain of losing him.

She also commissioned custom figurines of Lane as a wrestler and football player, a lasting memorial to his dedication to sports and the town.

Stephani’s emotional post,

“There are just no words. Our son, Lane, passed away in a car wreck on Saturday night. We are so heartbroken and devastated. Words cannot express how proud we were of him and the kind, young man he was. His infectious smile and laugh will forever be remembered. We will forever miss him. Our family appreciates all the kind words and support received.
We have the most amazing communities.
Please, please, please wear your damn seat belt. If only for your mama’s heart.”
