And since their break up, Sorana had been hush-hush about her dating life, but that was until last year. The tennis is believed to be dating Ion Tiriac Jr, the son of former tennis player and businessman Ion Tiriac.

Last year, in July, Sorana faced criticism after sharing a post that read, “Make men masculine again. Make women feminine again.” Many tennis fans believed it to be a transphobic message.

But Ion Tiriac Jr. defended the tennis player and shared an Instagram story that read, “2026 in a nutshell. I want everyone to know I’m straight! So feel free to praise me for my incredible bravery.”

Also last year, the billionaire’s son shared a congratulatory post after Sorana reached the quarterfinals of the US Open.

Sorana And Santiago Giraldo Dating Life

The two tennis players dated for three years, starting from 2014. Tennis journalist Ben Rothenberg was the one to break the news about the two dating. Many tennis fans were excited for this couple, as without a shadow of a doubt, they looked great together.

But unfortunately, their relationship didn’t go all the way. Sorana and Santiago turned pro the same year, 2006, and had an age gap of only three years.

And if Sorana is still progressing in her tennis career, Santiago decided to retire in 2026. The Colombian tennis player Santiago is one of the highest-ranked tennis singles players from Colombia.

Sorana And Santiago Dated For Three Years And Broke Up In 2017

The Romanian tennis player Sorona is one of two kids of Liliana and Mihai Cirstea. She has a brother named Mihnea, with whom she shares a strong bond.

Previously, Cirstea had talked a bit about her family during her during the early 2010s. From eating ice cream with her dad and brother to celebrating Mother’s Day, young Sorana would write about all the current happenings of her life.

In one of her blogs, Sorana wrote she grew up in a family where men are gentlemen and treat women with a lot of respect and care. She said that on Women’s Day, the men in her household buy flowers and presents for all the ladies and take them out for dinner.

Sorana’s brother, Mihnea, is a lawyer and as previously stated by Romanian sites, used to be an athlete but had to quit because of injuries.
