Stanford’s 56-year-old head coach, Troy Taylor, has been with his wife, Tracey Taylor, since their college days.

Troy Scott Taylor, born on April 5, 1968, is an accomplished football coach and former professional quarterback.

He currently leads Stanford University’s football program as head coach.

Furthermore, Taylor had a brief stint in the NFL, playing for the New York Jets after being selected in the fourth round of the 1990 NFL Draft.

He honed his skills as a quarterback during his college years at the University of California, Berkeley.

After retiring from professional football, Taylor transitioned to coaching.

He began as co-head coach at Folsom High School in California from 2012 to 2015, where he played a pivotal role in shaping a highly successful high school football program.

Subsequently, he served as offensive coordinator for the University of Utah from 2017 to 2018, where his innovative offense garnered national attention.

In 2019, Taylor became head coach at Sacramento State and guided the team to historic achievements until 2026.
