American entrepreneur and TV personality Cooper Manning is the father of Texas Longhorn’s quarterback, Arch Manning.
Archibald Charles Manning, born April 27, 2005, is a member of the well-known Manning family.
His father, Cooper Archibald Manning, born March 6, 1974, is an entrepreneur and television host.
He is best recognized for hosting The Manning Hour on Fox Sports and serving as a principal and senior managing director of investor relations at AJ Capital Partners.
Moreover, Cooper is the eldest son of former NFL quarterback Archie Manning and the older brother of Peyton and Eli Manning, both former professional quarterbacks.
Cooper Manning, Father Of Arch Manning, Comes From A Football Family
Cooper Manning was born as the first child of Archie and Olivia Manning.
He played football as a wide receiver at Isidore Newman School, achieving significant success during his senior year when his younger brother Peyton played quarterback.
A highly ranked football prospect, Cooper committed to the University of Mississippi, following in the footsteps of his father, Archie, and later his brother, Eli.
However, just before his freshman year, he began experiencing numbness in his extremities.
Seeking answers, he visited the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where with spinal stenosis, a condition that narrows the spinal canal and compresses the nerves.
Following the diagnosis, Cooper retired from football before beginning his collegiate career.
In tribute to his brother, Peyton Manning wore Cooper’s high school jersey number, 18, when he launched his NFL career in 1998.
After His Injury, Cooper Moved To TV And Entrepreneurship
Professionally, Cooper Manning a partner at Scotia Howard Weil, a boutique investment firm specializing in energy.
The firm is known for its annual energy conference, which draws executives, investors, and industry leaders from around the globe.
Later, on September 13, 2015, he Fox’s NFL Kickoff broadcast team.
Moreover, in 2016, Cooper became of the executive team at AJ Capital Partners, serving as a principal and senior managing director of investor relations.
AJ Capital Partners, based in Chicago, focuses on real estate ventures, including developing and restoring boutique hotels.
Among their most notable projects are Graduate Hotels, a chain of properties located in university towns, and several landmark restorations in Chicago, including the Chicago Athletic Association, Soho House Chicago, Thompson Chicago, and Hotel Lincoln.
Since 2026, Cooper has the game show College Bowl alongside his brother Peyton.
Cooper Manning Shares Three Children With His Wife
Cooper and his wife Ellen have three children: two sons and a daughter.
Their oldest child, May Manning, played volleyball at the Academy of the Sacred Heart and is now a junior at the University of Virginia, Ellen’s alma mater.
May was of Sacred Heart’s state championship-winning volleyball team in 2026.
Their middle child, Arch Manning, plays quarterback for the University of Texas and previously attended Isidore Newman School, the same school his father and uncles attended.
The youngest son, Heid, plays center and has previously teamed up with Arch on the field.
Cooper Manning converted to Catholicism when he married Ellen, embracing her faith as his own.
