Colin Cowherd, an American sports media personality, has been married twice: first to Kimberly Vadala and currently to his second wife, Ann Cowherd.

Cowherd, born on January 6, 1964, in Aberdeen, Washington, began his broadcasting career as the play-by-play announcer for the San Diego Padres Triple-A affiliate, the Las Vegas Stars.

He gained recognition as the sports director at KVBC in Las Vegas, where he won Nevada’s Sportscaster of the Year award five times.

From 1993 to 1995, he worked as a weekend sports anchor for WTVT in Tampa, Florida, before moving to Portland, Oregon, where he became a sports anchor for KGW-TV.

In 2003, he joined ESPN and took over the late-morning slot on ESPN Radio with his show, “The Herd,” which quickly became popular nationwide.

During this time, he also co-hosted the TV show “SportsNation” and introduced “Colin’s New Football Show.”

Cowherd became known for his bold opinions and focus on the NFL, NBA, and college football, which made him both influential and controversial.

However, some of his remarks, such as comments about Dominican baseball players and the late Sean Taylor, sparked backlash and criticism. This eventually led to his departure from ESPN in 2015.

Later, in 2015, he joined Fox Sports, where “The Herd” was relaunched on Fox Sports Radio and Fox Sports 1. At Fox, he also co-hosted “Speak for Yourself” and contributed to “Fox NFL Kickoff.”

In 2018, he partnered with iHeartRadio to launch “The Herd Podcast Network” and later created “The Volume,” a podcast platform featuring his show and other prominent voices in sports.

Today, Cowherd remains one of the leading figures in sports media.

Colin Cowherd and His Current Wife, Ann, Met Through Their Mutual Friend, Liz

Colin Cowherd and his second wife, Ann Cowherd, have been married since June 2010 after a few years of dating.

He shared a charming story of how they met.

So, I was divorced and living in a condo in Hartford. And I was looking for something at the time. Liz, was the name of my real estate agent, and she said, ‘I’ve got this woman and she’s been separated for 8 or 9 months and her name is Ann.’ And she goes, ‘I don’t set people up, I’m not saying it’s for me but she’s a designer, and you said you were looking for a designer if you buy the place. So, here’s her number.’

He added:

As she was talking, I dialed Ann’s number and put it on speaker. And I said, ‘Hey Ann, I heard you’re hot, let’s go out. Liz here totally set me up.’ And Liz starts screaming, and Ann’s laughing, and Liz is screaming. And I said, ‘Hey, I need a designer, but I’d love to go out with you.

In a tweet commemorating their 10th anniversary in 2026, Colin wrote:

My wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary last night. I asked her tonight “How did we make it?” She answered, deadpan, “we never hated each other on the same day”. 😳😳😳

Their bond is evident in the shared moments of their life, including a recent vacation to Italy, which Colin described in a heartfelt tweet.

Going through the photos of our trip to Italy and this is my fave. Not a care in the world for a week. Exhausted at times, amazed at others. Mostly though, grateful for a life that includes Ann.

Ann keeps a low profile, with very few details of her personal life publicly known.

Born in the 1960s in the USA, she holds American nationality, but her early life and educational background remain private.

Unlike Colin, who is a fixture on television stirring controversy, Ann prefers a quieter life away from the spotlight and does not have any social media accounts.

Ann has always been a strong supporter of Colin’s career, frequently joining him at public functions and offering a stable presence off-camera.

The couple makes public appearances together, such as at The Volume Anniversary Party in Los Angeles in 2026.

More recently, in August 2026, Colin posted a picture with Ann, expressing his ongoing happiness in their marriage.

17 years of tolerating my nonsense.

Although Ann and Colin do not have children together, Ann has four children from a previous relationship, and Colin has two from his earlier marriage.

They shared a home in Los Angeles and a new family member, a dog named Wrigley, in June 2026.

Colin’s focus on family is paramount. He said:

I have a 22-year-old daughter and a 16-year old son. I want to have more connectability that I didn’t have 15 years ago. And this doesn’t mean my broadcasting is secondary, but the first thing I do when I get up in the morning is think about my kids and them and my wife are the last thing I think about before bed. That kind of tells me that’s really where my heart’s at.
