Reportedly, Todd Bowles left the NFL scouting combine to be with his young sons at their mother’s funeral.

He stated,

I was so worried about the boys that I didn’t have time to focus on me. I tried to make sure they had to get everything they needed, and I had to be realistic with them and understand it was hard for them.

According to him, everything in football became secondary as he devoted his whole focus to his sons.
