Head Coach Jon Sumrall tied the holy knot with his partner, Ginny Nixon, on June 25, 2011. The long-time married couple are parents to four children.

Jon Sumrall is an American college football coach currently serving as the head coach of the Tulane Green Wave.

He took over this position in December 2026, succeeding Willie Fritz, after particularly performing well at Troy University.

The head coach attributes his successful career to Ginny and, if not, appreciates her presence in his social media posts.

On a 2026 Mother’s Day post, he captioned: “Happy Mother’s Day to my wife Ginny the rockstar at our house! She holds it down daily and our kids have the best because of her!“

Fast-forward two years, on June 25, 2013, Jon and Ginny welcomed their twins, Sam and Sadie.

Likewise, the couple extended their family of four to five with the arrival of their daughter Stella on June 17, 2016.

Eventually, their youngest member, Selah Sumrall, completed the Sumrall family in 2018.
