His parents have been the strongest pillars of support in his racing career. They are the people behind his racing dream as well as the fame he has today.

Also, the Caruth couple Roger and Samantha appear at their son’s games and events being the biggest cheerleaders for their son, Rajah.

Rajah Kirby Caruth (born on June 11, 2002) races full-time in the Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 71 Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports.

His career peaked on March 1, 2026, when he won the 2026 Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200, making him the third Black driver to win in NASCAR’s top three series, alongside Wendell Scott and Bubba Wallace.

Likewise, Caruth’s success was further highlighted when he was announced to drive for Spire Motorsports throughout the 2026 season on February 7, 2026. Despite a mishap at Daytona’s season-opener causing a spinout, he secured 3rd place, his best career finish.

Subsequently, the racer earned 8th place at Atlanta and received full-season sponsorship from HendrickCars.com on February 28. His historic victory at Las Vegas made him the third African-American driver to win a NASCAR national series race.

The American stock car driver, Rajah was born to parents, Roger Caruth and Samantha Caruth. He is close to his parents and often shares their glimpses on his socila media accounts.

Father, Roger Caruth

Rajah’s father, Roger aka Dr. Roger Caruth is a Cathy Hughes School of Communications professor at Howard University.

The racer’s dad completed his undergraduate studies at Clark Atlanta University, where he received degrees in Mass Communications and International Administration and Development.

Later, Roger pursued a Juris Doctor degree with a specialization in Entertainment, Business, and Technology law at John Marshall Law School in 1999. Continuing his academic journey, the celebrity dad obtained a Ph.D. from Howard University in 2013.

Currently, Dr. Caruth an assistant professor at the Cathy Hughes School of Communications, specifically in the Department of Strategic, Legal, and Management Communication (SLMC).

Previously, the celebrity dad taught at several academic institutions, including Morgan State University, Baruch College, Queens College, and Georgia Perimeter College.

The Vincentian-born professor concluded a three-year Research Fellowship at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. He applies various communication techniques to develop effective strategies encompassing traditional, social, digital, and emerging media.

Mother, Samantha Caruth

The racing car driver’s mother, Samatha Kirby Caruth is a Vincentian-Barbadian native. She appears to be in her forties now.

Sadly, the celebrity mom fails to reveal her birth details as well as her young life.

Currently, she works as an assistant director at Sidewall Friends School in the District.
