Will Andy Reid Be Fired? FOX Reporter Rob Parker Faces Criticism After Saying Reid Should Step Down

Will Andy Reid be fired? The answer to that question is a big NO! The three-time Super Bowl-winning coach might’ve failed to add another Super Bowl title to his resume, but he will remain the main man for the Chiefs for the upcoming season.

One of the decorated coaches in the NFL, Andy Reid’s Chief put up a disastrous performance against Nick Sirianni’s Eagles in the Super Bowl on February 10, 2026.

By the time, the Chiefs started putting numbers on the board, the Eagles’ players were already dumping Gatorade on their head coach.

The Eagles’ defense stifled the Chiefs’ offense with no problems and were on top of the game since minute one.

If the Chiefs had won, Andy Reid and his team would’ve become the first coach and team in NFL history to complete a three-peat.

After the game, the Eagles’ star QB and Super Bowl MVP, Jalen Hurts, said, “Defense wins championships.”

On the other hand, Hurts’ counterpart, the Chiefs’ quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, had a miserable night, as he was sacked six times and recorded three turnovers.

After the humiliating 40-22 defeat, many fans took to social media to comment on Andy Reid and his players, including Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.

Some even wrote that Kelce should retire and Mahomes has been regressing since 2026. Many fans also took a jab at coach Reid, saying he was washed.

But these comments on the internet aren’t going to make the Chiefs’ front office make drastic changes, including firing their coach Andy Reid.

FOX Reporter Rob Parker’s Comments On Andy Reid Have Fans Infuriated

Soon after the game ended, many reporters and analysts had something to say about the Chiefs’ lackluster performance.

But one of the comments that caught the eye of many on social media was that of FOX Analayst, Rob Parker. He said:

Andy Reid should step down as head coach of the Chiefs…This fall off the cliff is 2 years in the making.

He continued, “And you’re going to be like, ‘They just went to the Super Bowl three times.’ ‘Andy Reid.’ ‘Blah, blah, blah.’

This is not a one-game reaction because they lost in the Super Bowl, and they got boat-raced–it was 40-6.

Parker’s rant continued as he pointed out that it wasn’t a one-game issue and that he has seen a troubling pattern.

“Last year, they won the Super Bowl, so it covered up how bad things were. You remember with the recievers, the struggles, and Patrick Mahomes. Here’s another year.

Andy Reid is supposed to be an offensive genius. Why is Patrick Mahomes struggling so much when you can’t figure out a way to get him off and get him to be not 50 touchdowns and throwing every ball downfield but way better?”

But Parker’s cohost, Kelvin Washington, didn’t agree with him at all and many fans felt the analyst was exaggerating.

The comment didn’t sit well with the Chiefs’ fans and they began to berate the analyst on various social media platforms.

One fan wrote, “Idk why Rob Parker still gets a platform lol…if anyone gotta go, it’s Mayy Nagy [Chiefs’ offensive coordinator].

Another fan wrote, “How do you get CTE in the media?”

Another KC fan chimed in, “We need to make podcast equipment more expensive. Imagine taking your team to five Super Bowl in six seasons, and they’re calling for you to step down.”

It isn’t that the Chiefs have zero problem at all and that they were simply outplayed by the Eagles in one game.

The team has issues and it must be addressed before the start of the 2026 season.

What Went Wrong For Andy Reid’s Chiefs?

Before pointing fingers at Andy Reid, many fans have spoke about the other coaches on the team, including passing coordinator Joe Bleymaier.

Before the Super Bowl, , “Are we utilizing [Mahomes] the best? Are we giving him the stuff that he needs? It’s just constantly second-guessing ourselves just so that he has everything he needs to go be himself.”

Not an idle comment to make when your team is about to play Super Bowl in a few days time.

But this wasn’t the comment that had fans agitated–Bleymaier further said, coaching Mahomes wasn’t all joy and that it is so much stressful to coach a player like him.

After reading his comment, many Chiefs fans caleld for Bleymaier to be dismissed.

Travis Kelce’s performance was also put under the microscope after the heavy loss. Many fans even wrote the tight end was no longer fit enough to play in the big stage.

The Chiefs should start looking for Kelce’s replacement as the coming season might be his last.

The team has Noah Gray, who signed a three-year extension in September and had a career-best campagin in the 2026 season with 40 catches for 437 yards and five touchdowns.

Chiefs should also look to stablize their wide receiver corps as after Tyreek Hill’s departure, three different wideouts have led the position in receiving yardage.

Xavier Worthy had a impressive rookie campaign and Rice had an excellent rookie season in 2026, but injuries and legal matters have troubled him.

There are several glaring problems that the Chiefs have to fix before they think about firing Coach Reid.
