Jey Uso, an American professional wrestler with WWE, proudly embraces his Samoan heritage inherited from his parents.
The WWE star Jey Uso was born Joshua Samuel Fatu on August 22, 1985, in San Francisco, California, to Samoan parents Solofa Fatu Jr., aka Rikishi Fatu, and Talisua Fuavai.
Belonging to the Samoan community, Jey and his parents proudly honor their heritage as a member of the Anoa’i family, a family of professional wrestlers originating from the Samoan Island.
Talking about his parents, Jey has followed in his father, Solofa Fatu Jr., aka Rikishi Fatu, footsteps in wrestling.
Solofa Fatu Jr. is a former professional wrestler who competed in several renowned wrestling organizations, including WWE, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, World Championship, and many more.
Moreover, Fatu made his debut in the professional wrestling business in 1985 as Prince Alofa and later competed with the Samoan SWAT Team in Japan and multiple wrestling promotions.
Similarly, Solofa Jr. won several honorable titles throughout his career, including the WWF Intercontinental Championship, the Slammy Award, the WWE Hall of Fame, and the WWE Tag Team Championship.
He was born in San Franciso on October 11, 1965, to his father, Solofa Fatu Sr., and his mother, Elevera Anoa’i Fatu.
Likewise, Jey Uso’s parents married in 1985, months before giving birth to Jey and his twin brother Jimmy.
Very little information about his mother, Talisua Fuavai-Fat, is available, as she prefers to maintain a private life.
However, she often shares her sons’ and husband’s achievements on social media, expressing her love for them.
Jey Uso’s Parents Raised Him Alongside His Four Siblings!
Solofa Fatu Jr. and Talisua Fuavai are proud parents of five children, including four sons named Joshua Samuel Fatu, Jonathan Solofa Fatu, Joseph Yokozuna Fatu, Jeremiah Peniata Fatu and a daughter, Thavana Monalisa Fatu.
All Fatu siblings follow in their father’s footsteps in wrestling, except for the oldest and only daughter, Thavana Monalisa, who is pursuing a career as a model, songwriter, and fashion designer.
Joshua Samuel Fatu, aka Jey Uso’s twin brother, Jonathan Solofa Fatu, aka Jimmy Uso, who was born nine minutes before Jey, is currently signed to WWE like his brother.
Jimmy performs on the SmackDown brand and is one half of the tag team, The Usos with Jey Uso.
He began his professional wrestling career in 2008 as a tag team named The Samoan Soldiers with Jey Uso at NWA Prime Time in Columbus, Georgia.
Moreover, Jimmy won the award of holding the record for the longest male tag team champonship reign in WWE history at 622 days.
In Addition to Jey and Jimmy, their younger brother Joseph Yokozuna Fatu, aka Solo Sikoa, is also signed to WWE and performs on the SmackDown brand as the leader of The Bloodline.
He began his professional wrestling career in 2018 under the ring name Sefa Fatu in the independent circuit and then signed with WWE in 2026.
Similarly, the youngest of the Fatu siblings, Jeramiah, who is an entrepreneur, made his debut in the wrestling world back in 2026 using the stage name Thamiko T. Fatu.
The Fatu brothers continue to build their careers in wrestling, making their parents proud of their achievements.
